Station design
The stations on the Metro will provide a pleasant environment for customers and staff. Station design features will include:
- safe, well lit, visually appealing entrances and interiors
- sustainable materials and finishes
- natural light and ventilation used where practicable
- easy access facilities
- ticketing facilities
- customer help points
- seating and lean bars
- passenger information display screens and public address systems
- platform screen doors
- public art
Station access and interchange
The metro stations will be easy to find and easy to get to. Convenient access and interchange is critical to the Metro's success.
Passengers will be able to transfer to/from the Metro to any other transport mode within minutes.
Facilities will be provided for transferring to/from buses, CityRail, light rail, bicycles and taxis. Kiss and ride facilities will also be provided.

Easy access
Accessibility is one of the key design features of the Metro, making it suitable and user friendly for all customers.
- lifts will operate at all stations
- there will be 10 wheelchair spaces on each train
- trains will be level and flush with the platform edge, making it easy to move on and off the train independently
- hearing and induction loops will be installed on trains and at stations
- use of colour and tactile markers on the platforms will assist people who are visually impaired
- trained staff will be available on concourses and platforms to assist customers
